The Magic Garden began with a vision Jacob Moth received in 1995 — a vision of a modern temple where music, reflection, and deep inner work could come together.
Four years later, in 1999, he met Ecaterina. What began as a meeting of two paths became both a love story and a shared life’s work. Together, they have spent more than 25 years shaping The Magic Garden through music, devotion, inner journey work, and the creation of a real temple in Denmark.
Jacob’s path began early. In his mid-teens, he was already entering the two worlds that would shape his life: music and deep inner exploration. By the age of 17, a profound inner crisis set him on a lifelong path of reflection, exploration, and integration.
For more than four decades, he has devoted himself to deep inner work and the study of human experience. His approach is informed by Stanislav Grof’s work and by longstanding perspectives on supporting deep inner processes. This has given him a rare depth of experience and understanding.
He is the author of two books. Land of the Nocturnal Butterfly includes a preface by Stanislav Grof, and his newer book includes a foreword by Rick Doblin, founder and president of MAPS.
He is also a professional musician — a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and composer who has played with Savage Rose, Blink, Purple Haze, and Fate. This meeting of deep inner journey work and professional musicianship is part of what gives the music behind The Magic Garden Tribe its depth and integrity. It is shaped not only by artistic sensitivity, but by long experience in creating music that can support reflection, presence, and the inner journey.
Ecaterina carries her own thread of vision and healing. As a child in Moldova, she dreamed of traveling far away to create music that would touch people’s hearts. Alongside her healing work, she brings formal conservatory training in singing, as well as a grounded presence that brings softness, truth, and deep feeling into the field she and Jacob hold together.
