I share a birthday with the garden

Today is my birthday.

It is The Magic Garden’s birthday too. We share the same birthday: September 14.

On that very date in 2009, chainsaw artist Finn Rune arrived with a carved beam for the top of our round hall. Four power animals sat on it, watching over everything.

He also brought the stone lintel for the portal. That portal divides The Magic Garden into two worlds. The ordinary world on one side. The magical world on the other.

There was something very special about that day. It felt as if something had just taken its first breath. We did not need to talk about it. We all knew: The Magic Garden had been born. Right there, on September 14.

On my birthday.

Sometimes it almost feels as if someone planned the whole thing. Just not us.

Something new can be ready to come into the world before we can quite put it into words. The garden did not need a logo or a launch plan. It simply needed that day. And suddenly, it was all real.

I think it can be a little like that for us as human beings too. A part of you may already be ready for something new, simply standing at the portal and waiting. On one side is everything familiar. On the other, something completely different.

For five months, our payment system has not been working. Stripe closed our account. No one could join The Magic Garden Tribe — neither new members nor people who wanted to come back. Just a closed door, with us standing on the other side, embarrassed by the whole situation.

Now it works again. Finally.

And on this very day. On the garden’s birthday. On my birthday.

I do not think it is a coincidence. I think The Magic Garden itself wanted to decide when we should open the doors again.

And there is something I would like to ask you.
